Senate Extension Legislation
On Thursday, February 26, 2015, Senators Roy Blunt (R-MO), Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Steve Daines (R-MT), and Ben Cardin (D-MD) introduced the New Markets Tax Credit Extension Act of 2015 (S. 591). The legislation, which is nearly identical to its House counterpart (H.R. 855), would extend the NMTC indefinitely, increase NMTC allocation, index future allocation levels to inflation, and provide AMT relief to NMTC investors.
