Catherine Kes

Catherine Kes is the Director of Specialty Finance at RDF. Ms. Kes leads the team responsible for structuring deals involving public-private partnerships, grant capital, traditional debt, and RDF’s $340 million QLICI portfolio where she oversees project intake, financial modeling and assessment. Her team is also focused on investments in border states, including Texas, Arizona, and California. As head of this group, she oversees origination and underwriting and provides technical assistance to projects on finance, leadership, and government affairs for these investments. In addition to NMTC lending activities at RDF, Ms. Kes has deployed $80 million in non-NMTC loans. Prior to joining RDF, she spent 10 years with Hacienda Community Development Corp (HCDC). At HCDC she was responsible for all phases of commercial and multi-family rental housing development, including LIHTC and NMTC financed transactions, which resulted in new construction or rehabilitation of 324 units of affordable housing and 67,000 square feet in commercial property. Ms. Kes serves on the Governing Board of the NMTC Coalition and the Advisory Board of Accion Opportunity Fund. She earned a B.S. in business management from Metropolitan State University in Minnesota and a J.D. from Lewis & Clark Law School.
