John Stringfield

John Stringfield is the President of DC Housing Enterprises (DCHE), responsible for managing the daily operations and long-term business strategies that include New Market Tax Credit financing and community development projects that has invested over $147 Million of New Market Tax Credits in real estate and economic development projects and businesses. He is a Board member of the New Markets Coalition. He is Responsible for the Strategic Planning and day to day operations for a $2 billion portfolio, 8,000 Units, and $120M Operating Budget and new mixed use/income developments.

His combined experience spans more than 20 years in public, private, and entrepreneurial businesses around the globe.

Stringfield is real estate and business investor, and was the owner of several national franchises. As an Executive for a national developer, he led transactions that included ground-up residential building construction, master-planned land development, and repurposing urban buildings for redevelopment. He was a Series 7 licensed Wealth Manager for high net worth clients with the third largest bank in the world, Morgan Stanley, and is a licensed attorney in Maryland and DC. He is former Army Officer that led troops during combat operations in the only remaining rapid deployment Cavalry unit in the United States military and testified before the Finance Committee of United States Congress to introduce the Veteran’s Entrepreneurs Act.
