
Legislation to Make the NMTC Permanent
The NMTC expires at the end of 2025. The bipartisan New Markets Tax Credit Extension Act of 2021 was introduced in the House and Senate this February. The legislation in both the House (H.R. 1321, introduced by Reps. Sewell D-AL and Reed (R-NY) and Senate (S. 456, introduced by Sens. Cardin D-MD and Blunt R-MO) would make the program permanent. Contact your members of Congress and ask them to cosponsor.
