Investment in the Virgin Islands While there has yet to be an NMTC project in the Virgin Islands (that we are aware of), there is much interest among NMTC practitioners in boosting investment in the VI and PR. Novogradac and Company, an accounting firm focused on community development tax credit financing, has hosted several conferences dedicated to boosting investment. Legislative Developments: The House Ways and Means Committee - in their 2021 reconciliation package - included $175 million in additional NMTC allocation for U.S. Territories. This funding did not ultimately make it into the final reconciliation package.
