Project Description

Advanced Metal Technologies, a member of the Whitesell Group which manufactures complex metal and plastic parts for the automotive and industrial markets, will invest $19 million to lease, renovate and equip the 310,000 square-foot former MKM plant at 100 Technology Way, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, creating 350 new jobs by 2015. Over the next few years, AMT plans to fill production, engineering, sales, administrative and management positions. As part of an incentive package, Indiana Economic Development Corporation provided Advanced Metal Technologies up to $200,000 in training grants based on the company’s job creation plans. These incentives are performance-based, meaning until Hoosiers are hired, the company is not eligible to claim incentives. This agreement is the result of the Consumers Energy leadership’s vision to embark on a game-changing plan to move its IT department from a technology support role to technology innovators – and will utilize HCL’s expertise through its matured processes and highly qualified employees. It will enable Consumers Energy’s IT department to leverage HCL’s software solutions expertise to manage its existing operations, thereby allowing Consumers Energy`s many talented and knowledgeable employees to focus on innovative assignments supporting business excellence for the utility.
