Project Description

NMTC financing supported a 50/50 partnership between Tolk Industries and Hunt Forest Products. Hunt Forest Products is a full service wood products company founded in 1978 that manufactures a variety of plywood, lumber and other specialty wood products. Tolko is a 60 year old Canadian family-owned business that manufactures lumber, plywood, and veneer-oriented strand board co-products, biomass power, and specialty wood products.

The $240 million, state-of-the-art sawmill in Bienville Parish, near Taylor, Louisiana will employ approximately 60 people when operations begin in 2023. The sawmill will employ approximately 130 people when operating at full capacity.
