Project Description

The Brooklyn Navy Yard (the “Yard”) is a 300‐acre industrial park on the Brooklyn waterfront. The Yard encompasses 40 buildings, three dry docks, four active piers and is home to over 330 businesses employing over 7,000 people. The Yard has become widely recognized as a national model for sustainable urban industrial development and home to modern manufacturers that are tech‐driven and socially responsible.

Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation (BNYDC) rehabilitated and renovated Building 127, approximately 100,000 sq. ft., at the Yard, restoring it to an active manufacturing use and creative workspace that supports the Yard’s job‐creation and economic development mission. One tenant is Bednark Studio, a commercial design firm for live events.
