Project Description

A local economic development group said financing is complete for a multimillion-dollar project in the northwest Dayton area. The project will create new jobs among other benefits. The Dayton Region New Market Fund, an affiliate of CityWide Development Corp., helped raise $8 million in New Market Tax Credits (NMTC) for the Goodwill Easterseals Miami Valley West Campus Community Service Center in Trotwood. Goodwill’s new west campus adds vitality to Trotwood’s Main Street corridor, and will create 20 full-time jobs. The 20,000 sq. ft. center expects to serve 1,000 individuals annually with job training, job placement, and adult day care for seniors and persons with developmental disabilities. Through a partnership with Miami Valley Child Development Centers, 50 Head Start childcare slots will also be available at the campus.
