Project Description

With over 400 partner agencies and seven Partner Distribution Organizations, this Food Bank serves in sourcing, warehousing, and distribution while actively confronting issues of chronic hunger, poor nutrition and health for the 11-county area they serve. When the Food Bank’s renovation and expansion plans were cut short due to Covid, and funds raised for the expansion were used to feed people during the pandemic, NMTCs made it possible to move forward with their aspirations to create a more streamlined, efficient, and safer facility, with the capacity to expand services and provide for larger quantities of healthy food distribution, while proactively encouraging healthy lifestyles, expounding on work force development, and community education. A completion date of March 2022 is expected with these exciting changes:
