Project Description

OMAHA HABITAT secured a $2.86M loan to increase economic development in low-income census tracts. The site and neighborhood received a $25M HUD Choice Neighborhood award, and Omaha Habitat was selected as one of 3 housing developers. The Local Habitat also collaborates with the City of Omaha in Tax Increment Financing and predominately builds in LICs that qualify as TIF eligible districts. All the homes built with this loan were part of an approved or proposed TIF project with the city.
