Project Description

Paul’s Place Inc. is expanding its workforce development platform to create a social enterprise restaurant and culinary arts training program in Baltimore. The project will run a program with a goal of securing participants employment in the Baltimore hospitality industry. Local nonprofit Paul’s Place is launching a culinary arts training program that creates jobs and provides a new dining option along Pigtown’s Main Street. Groundwork Kitchen is designed to help Baltimore’s youth and others looking for work get the training they need to find employment in the growing hospitality industry. It is all housed in a new $10 million restaurant and training center at the corner of Washington Boulevard and Cross Street, near the nonprofit’s headquarters.
