Project Description

Construction of a state-of-the-art community health center facility serving one of San Francisco’s poorest districts. In its previous location, the clinic was damaged by the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake, the rooms were sorely underequipped, and patients had to navigate an alley strewn with trash and broken glass to enter.

The South of Market Health Center routinely treats the homeless, the uninsured, and those struggling with chronic diseases or addiction and mental illness.
