Project Description

The Witte Museum promotes lifelong learning through innovative exhibitions, programs and collections in natural history, science and South Texas heritage. NMTC financing allowed the completion of the first phase of their redevelopment project, the Witte Research Center. The Center provides a permanent home for the collection stories, programs and exhibits related to South Texas. The redevelopment expanded Witte’s already significant impact on the community by increasing display and program activity areas that are designated to engage participants in the social, cultural and economic history of the area.
