New Market Tax Credits provided crucial funding to create a crisis center and emergency housing for domestic violence survivors and homeless families in our community. With NMTC, the facility could not have been built and up to 50 families each night would have no where to sleep except in their cars or tents.

This 100+ year old community nonprofit increased its capacity to serve homeless families and victims of domestic violence by building a new facility in a blighted area. The YMCA serves 3,400 people in need with emergency housing, re-housing, crisis counseling, support groups and leadership programs.
