Renovating old buildings and keeping neighborhoods free of crime are just two ways to improve communities. Arts Block/Pushkin and Bank Row are two projects involving the renovation of five historic, mostly vacant buildings, totaling nearly 40,000 sq. ft., clustered around the main intersection in downtown Greenfield. Project financed the reconfiguration and renovation of the primary operating site of the YWCA Central Massachusetts, Inc. New Garden Park is now home to Quinsigamond Community College. The project will reconfigure and expand FHCW’s space by adding a new vision suite, expanding the pharmacy and dental suite, and reconfiguring administrative space. This innovative financing package helped fund construction of a 95,000-sq. ft. wet lab at Gateway Park in Worcester, which is expected to create 40 jobs.
