Voices from the Community

We were able to gain over $200,000 in our last NMTC deal. This helps us to provide additional units of affordable housing in our community. Having different tools in our fundraising toolbox is what makes affordable housing possible.

-Tina Forcier, Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County FL, Inc., Tampa, FL

We have been waiting for the opportunity to participate in an NMTC deal so we can expand affordable housing in Tampa. With more than 40% of our households cost-burdened, we need to act using all tools available to us.

Project Description

HILLSBOROUGH HABITAT is using an $1.69M loan to complete the development of 25 homes in the Tampa area. The homes are aesthetically complimentary to the local neighborhoods and designed for resilience and long-term sustainability relative to hurricane insurance costs, energy and water efficiency, and product durability. The homes are located in three different areas of Hillsborough County including “infill homes” in East Tampa, a townhome community in Brandon, and a new community of 12 single family homes in Temple Terrace.
