Project Description

BROWARD HABITAT used a $2.86M QLICI to support the construction of two projects (17 units) in located within designated Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) districts by City of Pompano Beach and Broward County.

The first is 5 new homes in the 50-unit Rick Case Habitat Community located in the heavily blighted Blanche Ely district. The second project is 12 infill homes in the Collier neighborhood. These development areas are part of the county and city’s comprehensive realization plans.

The City and Broward County rely heavily on Broward Habitat through its partnership to support the development of new housing units. These projects are also located in a TIF district, which funds the Pompano Beach CRA through its collection of property taxes.
