Project Description

This project involves the acquisition, construction, and equipping of a 76,000 square foot utility pole manufacturing facility on the site of a former sawmill in Quitman, Mississippi.The 40-acre site includes a rail spur and switch and will house office space, a scale house, a maintenance building, and equipment that uses new technology to detect defects in logs before they are processed into poles.The poles will be sold to pressure treatment plants serving the southeastern United States.Upon completion, the facility is expected to create 20 full-time jobs.The project will also support an estimated 22 additional jobs in logging and trucking across the region through partnerships with local suppliers wh
