The $52 million total project cost will fund the construction of the exhibits for the new 200,000 sq. ft. Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center. The Space Center includes 3 distinct galleries, 150 Hands-On Educational Exhibits, 100 authentic artifacts, such as planes, satellites, and rockets, and 7 flight simulators, the space shuttle Endeavour, the Concourse – a central gathering space for presentations and special events, and a new Special Exhibits and Events Center. The project is expected to create new permanent jobs and greatly increase capacity of its programs to the low-income community is serves through the following programs.
