Project Description

The project at Fairfield will include the removal of antiquated equipment and installation of new, modernized manufacturing equipment. The current plant configuration and equipment are not setup for use in manufactuing magnesia carbon refractrories. The initial plant facility was closed in 2019 and approximately 100 jobs were lost when HWI made the entrepreneurial decision to exit the carbon bake industry due to the lack of demand for carbon bake refractory products used in the aluminum industry.
