“I am proud to support this new facility, which will expand access to comprehensive health and wellness services for thousands of people in and around the Desert Hot Springs community,” said Rep. Ruiz. “As a doctor who has worked extensively in underserved areas across the Coachella Valley, I have seen firsthand the vital role that community health centers play in providing essential, affordable health services to our local families. The Desert Hot Springs Community Health and Wellness Center is a great example of what we can achieve as a community to improve health care access through public-private partnerships.”
The Desert Hot Springs Community Health and Wellness Center includes a health clinic that will provide high-quality medical care to the community at little or no cost. The state-of-the-art 32,200 sq. ft. facility also includes a community center, a fitness center, a health and wellness education center, an aquatics center, and facilities for the local Boys and Girls clubs.
