Community Testimonials

We were blessed to receive an NMTC allocation in 2017 allowing us to construct a new school in an economically depressed neighborhood. We participated in the Louisiana school choice programs and serve a 100% poverty level community – we charge no tuition, and all our families earn less than 250% of the Federal poverty level. We were able to triple in size and create over 26 new jobs in our community as a result of the NMTC program. All these jobs are at wage levels that far exceed the living wage rates and include full benefits. The surrounding community has also seen redevelopment as a result of us building as an anchor for the area. We are planning to build multiple locations in the future – all in underserved, impoverished areas – and the NMTC program is an essential piece of our growth plans. We wholeheartedly support this program and have seen its powerful impact.
