Project Description

Construction of a 100,000 sq. ft. events and community center which will provide space for local nonprofits, tractor and machinery auctions, and adaptable space to host regional sporting and local corporate events. It will be the largest contiguous capacity meeting facility in the region.

• Project is a part of a larger mixed-use development on the banks of the Mississippi River which will include retail, an apartment complex, and an amphitheater in addition to the Community Center. Project is located in a severely distressed census tract and is also creating jobs in an area where the unemployment rate is greater than 1.5 times the National Rate.

• Mayor Reggie Freeman of East Moline, along with local organizations REDEEM (Revitalize and Develop East Moline) and YouthHope have all voiced their support for the project.
