Project Description

Homewise will used its $7M allocation to acquire and rehab 16 homes in the Barelas/South Broadway neighborhood in Albuquerque, NM, selling at least half to buyers with incomes under 80% AMI; and to build 16 3-story townhomes in central Albuquerque in a high density infill project. The cost to do the extensive rehab required on the Barelas homes greatly exceeds current market pricing and an affordable price. Homewise provides financial counseling, homebuyer education and additonal wrap around services as needed to its buyers, as well as serving as lender.
