The Intergenerational Center for Arts and Wellness is a multitenant social service center providing improved access to quality elder care, healthcare, early childhood education, arts, and other social services. Led by Senior Services, the facility will include:

• An expansion of Seniors Services’ Williams Adult Day Center (ADC) expanding services from 120 to 180 seniors daily (250 annually). The ADC provides both adult day care and health care services to participants in the facility and in-home care throughout Forsyth County.
• Family Services will have 6 pre-Head Start/Head Start/Universal Pre-K classrooms in the center. Intergenerational programming with the students and seniors will be offered daily.
• Novant Healthcare will operate a general medical clinic, open to all, with a focus on diabetes education.
• Winston-Salem State University will provide educational and clinical opportunities for students in its health sciences department through the provision of physical therapy, occupational therapy, and recreational therapy in its supervised practicum setting.
• The Sawtooth School for Visual Art will operate fiber arts and visual arts studios with space for two resident artists that may provide one-on-one instruction.
• Second Harvest Food Bank’s Providence Kitchen will operate a café with pre-packaged food items for sale in the center’s “Main Street” atrium. Second Harvest will also offer nutrition education classes.
• Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Health’s Paul Sticht Center for Aging and Rehabilitation is a geriatric clinical and research center that will operate a satellite center to improve the community’s access to services.
• HandsOn NWNC mobilizes people and organizations that inspire community change. Each year, they provide a wide variety of leadership, training, and technical assistance opportunities to staff, board members, and volunteer leaders within their diverse network of more than 500 nonprofits in Forsyth and surrounding counties.
