Project Description

Renovation and adaptive reuse of a historic urban building into a 33,000 sq. ft. Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with off-street parking for staff and patients. CrescentCare Mid-City will offer primary medical and behavioral healthcare services, the opportunity for specialty disciplines, and an on-site contract pharmacy.

CrescentCare started as NO/AIDS Task Force more than 30 years ago. Over time, the nonprofit community healthcare provider expanded its scope to offer a broad range of affordable healthcare services to New Orleans’ most underserved communities. Today, they support an array of wellness and healthy living initiatives, and they provide behavioral and dental health services- all regardless of a patient’s ability to pay.

The project expects to serve more than 6300 patients annually at this site once it reaches stability. 80% of patients are projected to be low-income.
