Project Description

Educare DC is an innovative state-of-the-art preschool offering early childhood educational programs supported by Head Start. Roughly 175 students (infants to 5 years old) attend the school, which is located East of the River in the DC Promise and Choice Neighborhood Community.

Educare DC’s Washington DC campus is located in Parkside Kenilworth community in Northeast DC. The early childcare program offers an innovative approach to education that is provided for low-income children as early as 6 weeks old. The educational program includes technical support for parents through a partnership with DCHA. Employment training opportunities are now offered to Educare parents in addition to DCHA public housing residents.
