Famous Supply is a leading wholesale distributor of HVAC, plumbing, industrial, and building products and has grown to become the largest recognized HVAC, hydronic and plumbing training agency in Ohio.Famous’ Supply is expanding with its fifth distribution center in its network located in Maple Heights, Ohio.The new distribution and will serve as a hub for Famous Supply’s other distribution centers. the project will also include a new e-commerce center, which will support the launch of its new e-commerce business.Famous Supply will be the first to implement world-class warehouse systems to the region that will include fully and semi-automated good-to-person warehouse systems, advanced warehouse management computer systems, and co-operative semi-autonomous forklift systems.These high-tech systems work hand in hand with the associates, creating a new work environment where automation technology and associate culture improves safety, delivery accuracy, and world-class service.The NMTC Financing is providing capital for purchase of Equipment and Inventory, as well as working capital, for Famous Supply’s newest distribution center.Located within the distribution center will be a 28,000 sq. ft. state of the art facility dedicated to training and educating local HVAC and plumbing contractors on the latest equipment and technology the Training Institute.The Training Institute will feature dedicated training labs for hydronics, commercial HVAC, ductless and ducted residential heating and cooling, commercial and residential plumbing, cabinet and kitchen installations where contractors can interact with the equipment.Larger training rooms will allow groups to participate in frequently offered state certified classes to obtain continuing education credits.The Training Institute will also create video content for self-paced learning for customers, as well as the company’s employees. the company will offer a wide array of business classes to help business owners navigate subjects such as human resources, financial management and succession planning.Famous Supply has received public incentives from City of Maple Heights, Cuyahoga County, and JobsOhio to finance the project, and intends to use savings generated by these incentives to offer training scholarships at the Training Institute.
