Project Description

This investment will allow the project to finance additional equipment purchases and installation at their state-of-the-art, Sustainable Forestry Initiative SFI certified lumber mill located at their existing operating facility located in Olla, LA.This financing will allow the project to achieve their sustainable goals and retain quality jobs.

Hunt Forest Products HFP is a family-owned and operated wood products company based in Louisiana who is committed to sustainable management of timber resources across the state.HFP, via a joint venture, developed a state-of-the-art, highly efficient lumber mill in LaSalle Parish, a rural county in a Delta Regional Authority DRA Distressed Area.Enthusiastically supported by local officials, HFP has secured Sustainable Forestry Initiative certification and timber is sourced within a 60-mile radius.LaSalle sought NMTC capital to help replace and maintain its specialized equipment.The mill utilizes 99% of the wood fiber procured.
