Project Description

The May Dugan Center (MDC) was founded in 1969 and opened the current facility in 1975. MDC provides comprehensive health and human service programs to a diverse community that comes from 64 different zip codes throughout greater Cleveland, but primarily from the near west side neighborhoods of Ohio City, Stockyards, Tremont, Clark Fulton, Detroit Shoreway and Cudell. MDC works with a strong network of 30+ referral agencies to provide wrap around services including basic needs, behavioral health counseling, community education services, preventative health care and more. MDC serves 6,000 low-income people a year through its six core programs: food distribution, mental health counseling and case management, trauma recovery center, adult education, health and wellness, and MomsFirst.
