Voices from the Community

“We hope with the continuing growth of Alliance for Nonprofit Resources and with increased space, that we will be able to bring additional sustainable employment to the downtown Butler and the western PA region. These additional positions will allow us the ability to handle increased volumes in our management services clients served in back end office services for nonprofits. It will also enable us to expand our transportation division with the ability to handle increased invoicing, trip scheduling and logistics dispatcher. Along with this, expand our supportive employment opportunities that our offered.”

Project Description

Nonprofit Development Corporation owns 115 South Main Street in Butler, PA. Due to significant growth over the last six years, Alliance for Nonprofit Resources needed additional space to expand its mission across the state of Pennsylvania and into Western New York. Nonprofit Development Corporation is renovating all three floor (6,000 sq. ft. per floor) to accommodate this growth.

Without NMTC financing, Nonprofit Development Corporation would have had to acquire another form of financing at a higher interest rate. This would have greatly reduced the amount of the project that it would be able to complete, limiting its impact on the region.

The organization offers internships to students for experience and also works with the local Veterans Affairs office and other Human Service providers to offer employment opportunities in the construction trades. Additionally, Nonprofit Development Corporation operates a supportive employment donut shop geared at teaching individuals in the Human Services system opportunities to grow and expand their employability skills.
