Project Description

In recognition of the substantial needs in the Orange Mound community and the opportunity to expand services, RedZone commenced construction on the new 40,000 sq. ft. Skyview Community Center in 2022, located at 2855 Park Avenue, Memphis, TN. Skyview will be a centralized hub for RedZone to support Orange Mound. Before and after school, students will receive homework support, mentoring and access to tutors – a continuation of the support that had been offered within the schools, now offered on a larger scale at Skyview. RedZone projects that 250 students per day will receive tutoring, mentoring, or academic enrichment support at Skyview. The program will be administered and overseen by staff of RedZone and leveraged through community volunteers to maximize the impacts.
