Project Description

Renovation work is underway at Vicksburg High School. Additions and improvements add 21st century learning spaces and includes new lab space, a mock courtroom, an entrepreneur lab, an aquaponics lab, student leadership lounge, media center and a student run store and credit union.

After an EF-4 tornado devastated a town, killing 10 people and destroying over 1,000 structures including a 265,000 sq. ft. mill, the NMTC brought jobs and hope back to the
Chicken processing facility upgrade including an automated breast de-boner and an expansion of retail bagging capabilities at a 99,000 sq. ft. Central Mississippi plant.

PB Community Impact Fund and BXS Community Fund provided federal New Market Tax Credit allocation and to Lackey Memorial Hospital to finance the construction of a new Medical Arts Complex

The Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians used the NMTC to support its new early childhood education centers and an elementary school expansion.
