With a focus on academic achievement, career preparation, service learning and leadership development, the YMCA Teen Center aims to empower high school age youth to develop the life skills and competencies necessary to becoming responsible community members. The Teen Center advances education achievement for youth. NMTC financing supported the development of the YMCA of the Central Bay Area’s new YMCA Teen Center in downtown Berkeley. Project funding occurred in December 2009 and construction was completed in November 2010,
