New Ways and Means Committee Members

Yesterday, the Ways and Means Committee added 10 new Republican members, 5 of which are past cosponsors of the NMTC Extension Act.

Of the 25 Republicans on the Committee, 14 sponsored H.R. 1321, the NMTC Extension Act of 2021.

The list of Democrats on the Committee is yet to be released. As they are now in the minority, the number of Democrats on the Committee will be reduced from the last Congress.

Several members of the House (from both parties) don’t have NMTC projects in their districts. Usually, this is because they represent overwhelmingly affluent areas. For those members – and for members of Congress with only a few projects in the district – we have noted projects within 1 mile of the district and other facts about the NMTC impact in the region.
