Last week, the lead sponsors of the NMTC Extension Act of 2023 wrote a joint letter to Treasury seeking to speed up the allocation of credits so that all authorized NMTC allocations are awarded by the end of 2025.
The letter asks Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen to “to ensure that the award process for the program meets Congressional intent…we hope that Treasury will prepare a plan, in consultation with Congress, Community Development Entities (CDEs), and other stakeholders, to ensure that all authorized allocations are disbursed by the end of 2025.”
