The Project involves the revitalization of a manufacturing property in the Belmon-Cragin neighborhood of Chicago, IL. The Project, known as Chicago Prep, is the third location of L.A. Prep, the highly successful multi-tenant food manufacturing complex developed by CED Food LLC. Chicago Prep offers each of its tenants an exclusive, turnkey food production space along with essential shared amenities. These amenities include flexible storage areas, packing areas, offices, and onsite logistics.

Chicago Prep will comprise 62 wholesale-ready kitchens. The additional floor area is leased to non-food businesses. Chicago Prep provides more than 60 pre-inspected, ready-to occupy wholesale kitchen spaces for a wide range of food companies, including start-ups, and businesses. Each space can be customized to meet the tenants specialty processing needs, and tenants have access to essential shared amenities including dry, refrigerated and frozen storage, packaging facilities, and shipping and receiving.
