Houston Habitat for Humanity used NMTC financing in March 2021 for the site development and construction of 39 of the 84 affordable single-family homes planned in Phase 1 of their Robins Landing project.

The project is located in a severely distressed area in Northeast Houston that was hard hit by Hurricane Harvey in 2017. Homes will be available to residents with incomes at or below 80% AMI such as police officers, firefighters, teachers, pharmacy techs, nurses, teacher’s aids, retail managers, and many more.

Upon full completion, the 127-acre master planned site for Robins Landing will developed into a 468 unit mixed-income community and will provide amenities such as an urban farm/community garden, a commercial kitchen, makers space, 4-star childcare services, parks/green spaces, a health clinic, public library, and retail spaces.
