Project Description

Tulsa Economic Development Corporation (TEDC) has constructed a new 17,000 sq. ft. grocery store in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The project is part of the ongoing redevelopment of Tulsa’s African American Community, an extension of the Greenwood District in North Tulsa, site of the 1921 Race Massacre. Oasis Fresh Market is located in an extended area of Tulsa’s Historic Greenwood District. The area has been a primary focus of redevelopment for decades, and though development has happened slowly. The use of NMTCs will allow TEDC to negotiate a larger ownership interest for African American owners.
