NMTC’s enable developers and community development organizations to make investments in affordable housing in markets where it is needed most to provide affordable workforce housing in proximity to employment opportunities.

Project Description

CEI Capital Management – with support from their partner, Smith NMTC and an equity investment from U.S. Bank – used NMTC financing to support a multi-state, first of its kind Habitat for Humanity project spanning the country.

The project funds the work of 21 Habitat for Humanity affiliates nationwide and it resulted in the construction of 503 single-family homes for purchase by low-income individuals. Affiliates were located in AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, MI, MO, NE, NC, OR, TN, TX, WA, WV, WI, and of course, Ohio, where Habitat built 45 new homes in Cincinnati’s Mt. Auburn neighborhood.
