COMMUNITY IMPACT

The Community Health & Wellness Center (CHWC) of Greater Torrington received $1 million in financing to help it better address the region’s opioid crisis. CHWC will use the money to support hiring of providers trained in opioid treatment, IT upgrades to integrate previously siloed primary, mental health and substance abuse care, and other growth measures to help CHWC improve care integration and track care delivery, according to PCDC’s William O’Brien, chief lending officer, and Johvanna Sampson, senior loan officer.
