Project Description

This project will finance the redevelopment of the historic and iconic “History Channel Building,”previously vacant for more than 20 years, into a 188,181 sq. ft. educational facility in the Mott Haven community in the Bronx, NY. The building will be the new school and headquarters of DREAM Charter School (“DREAM”). DREAM will offer education to approximately 1,300 children from Pre-K to 12th grade through its Early Childhood Program (1st floor), Elementary School (2nd floor), Middle School (3rd floor) and High School (4th floor). The building will also include a full athletic center on the 5th floor and an open green roof and park on the 6th floor.
