Project Description

MetaFund used $8 million of its New Markets Tax Credits (NMTC) allocation provided by the CDFI Fund to support Kiamichi Family Medical Center toward the rebuilding of their Idabel, Oklahoma, clinic, which was destroyed by a tornado in 2022, and the development of a new clinic in Hugo, Oklahoma. Kiamichi Family Medical Center is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) serving Medically Underserved Areas throughout southeastern Oklahoma.

The Chickasaw Nation partnered with a CDE of the Cherokee Nation to use NMTC to transform a shuttered I.H.S. hospital in Ada, OK.
Purchase and gut renovation of the charter school's seventh location, a dedicated high school to be relocated to a 155,000 sq. ft. abandoned mall on Oklahoma City's Southside.
Construction of a production facility for hydroponic mushrooms.
