Founded in 1986 and headquartered in Waverly, TN, Scepter, Inc. is a family-owned and operated aluminum recycler which specializes in the recovery and recycling of contaminated and lower-value scrap aluminum that would otherwise be landfilled or shipped overseas.In response to growing demand, Scepter sought NMTC capital to support their expansion and increase the quantity of aluminum it recycles by 22%.Commended by local officials, Scepter is located in a highly distressed Non-Metro low-income community and is one of the largest employers in the county.They also actively partner with the Hope Center of Waverly, a nearby addiction and substance abuse center, to provide hard-to-employ individuals with job training and employment opportunities.
