Project Description

The core mission of the project is to strengthen the regional farm- and food-based economy by supporting the growth of agricultural businesses, promoting development of new products, and increasing export to external markets. The 6,172 sq. ft. historic barn, which is listed on the state’s historic register, will be preserved and renovated into a retail destination by Cabot Creamery for its signature cheeses and to showcase other local agricultural products. Adjacent to the recently completed Lamoille Valley Rail Trail, a four-season, multi-purpose recreation and transportation corridor across northern Vermont connecting 2 Yellow Barn Business Accelerator, Hardwick, VT.
