The New Market Tax Credit program was the key factor that allowed us to acquire an office facility for our sister companies Key Investment and MSP Communications at an affordable operating cost. As such our business supported community development in a distressed area in a facility that needed physical improvements, and was on the verge of losing 60% of its occupancy. Our sister companies move into the area avoided the loss of good-paying jobs of the company that was moving out of the area; and instead resulted in 150+ new good-paying professional jobs being brought to the area. NMTC also provided support to our sister companies during a financially-difficult time. The NMTC is a program that can help other companies like our, and in my opinion deserves the support of Congress.
