Project Description

​The Gateway Project is a LEED‐Platinum, mixed‐use development in Oberlin, Ohio’s new Green Arts District. It will consist of community conference centers, local businesses, college office space, a culinary workforce training facility, and a 65-room hotel for Oberlin guests, which will replace the 58-year old Oberlin Inn. The Project will also be a part of the overall Oberlin Project, one of 18 initiatives around the world to be a partner in the Clinton Foundation’s Climate Positive Development Program. The Oberlin Project is an innovative collaboration between Oberlin College, the City of Oberlin, and national, regional and local organizations that will turn Oberlin into a model for sustainable economic development powered by education and the arts.
