Project Description

ERMCO is headquartered in Dyersburg, TN and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Arkansas Electric Cooperatives, Inc in Little Rock, AR. ERMCO is using NMTCs to equip and expand production facilities to produce electrical transformers and components in rural Dyer County, TN. The project will create 75 construction jobs and 125 full-time permanent new jobs at rates well above the area living wage, with full benefits, 75 of which are projected to be available to LIPs. + ERMCO – a subsidiary of Arkansas Electric Cooperatives Inc. – will build a 200,000 sq. ft. manufacturing plant at 2000 Hoff Road in Dyersburg in the former Caterpillar plant. The project is set to create up to 150 manufacturing jobs over the next five years. The transformer manufacturer will create 150 new jobs in Dyer County. ERMCO is headquartered in Dyersburg and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Arkansas Electric Cooperatives, Inc. (AECI). With all of its products produced in the U.S., ERMCO is one of the largest producers of oil-filled distribution transformers and transformer components in the U.S. The company has been operational in Dyersburg since 1971. ERMCO is adding to its Dyer County footprint by expanding its operations into a third building to keep up the company’s growing demand. The company will locate its facility in the previous Caterpillar building in Dyersburg and will add an additional 743 m² to the facility.
