CCP provided $7 million to allocation to reimburse borrower for construction costs in connection with a new aquatic facility for a YMCA financed with NMTCs in 2016. The original three-lane pool, built in 1967, was closed in March 2016 and left the southeastern San Diego community without a place to swim. There are no community pools open year-round within a 3-mile radius of the Jackie Robinson Family YMCA. Capital limitations did not allow for construction of the aquatic facility at time of initial NMTC financing.
